New Windows 10 taskbar widget out

Microsoft has come out with the newest Windows 10 taskbar widget starting from Thursday 22nd April. The new taskbar widget includes various elements such as weather updates, latest news, stocks information, sports feed, and more.

The feed appears on your screen once you activate the widget. The information you receive are automatically customized as per your interests. Microsoft has made this happen using Artificial Intelligence, which recognizes and distinguishes your updates related to the weather forecast, sports, and recent headlines, based on the news you like and the one you dismiss. Also, Microsoft has used its Microsoft News Network to get the news feed updated from around 4500 verified sources.

The information you seek, you may keep. You can remove or disable any feed you don’t wish to invest your time on. The widget is already out and can be used by those who choose the April 2021 cumulative update preview for Windows 10. The latest widget may be available across the globe by the starting of May, along with the Windows security update.

You can wait for the optional cumulative Windows 10 update preview until it’s available for the Windows you are operating. Only then the taskbar gets visible to you on your screen. As the recent adaptation (20H2) of the Windows 10 taskbar widget is not available in patches, the users longing to see the widget may not see it sooner.

You can obtain the recent taskbar widget on your older version of Windows 10 by installing the KB5001396 preview.

Microsoft has been testing for the widget update for Windows 10 taskbar since January this year. However, the rolling out seems to have come out quite early, which was otherwise expected to launch a little later this year.

On the other hand, the testing for the 21H1 update by the tech giant Microsoft is underway and may be launched next month. The present taskbar widget is available to users operating Windows 10 on version 1909 or above.
